I am so thrilled that Anthony took me on as an adult student who is being taught remotely. I sought out a Taubman teacher, having returned to playing piano after a long time and experiencing significant tension and hand and wrist pain when playing. Even after the first lesson I came away with solutions which immediately reduced the pain. Anthony is generous with his time, a very patient teacher, and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of music and technique.

I haven't experienced pain since starting with Anthony and each week I learn a new way to make my playing more free, easy and efficient. Anthony has a wide variety of teaching techniques and even when I'm struggling, always finds a way to help me understand how I should be moving and playing. I am very grateful to Anthony.

“I got a lot of relief from seeing doctors and physios and taking a rest, but unfortunately when I played, the pain would come roaring back.

After a few short lessons with Anthony, I was able to establish a new relationship with the piano. Sitting at the right height for one, and then learning to move in a coordinate, pain free way by retraining and addressing how I played scales and arpeggios with total freedom and with much greater speed. That was a revelation!

The real breakthrough was working on my improvisations, and coming up with strategies that unlocked the musical ideas I had wanted to express. I’m playing more gigs, to great review, and am totally pain free. The Taubman technique has opened a Pandora’s box of excitement and possibilities. I cannot recommend Anthony more to get you out of pain, playing again, and then realising what is truly possible as a musician.”
